Top pick: #5 (PINBALL) (2-1) - He's fallen a bit in stature of late with a pair of rather poor showings during the Belmont meet. Before that this promising speed/stalker had gone 9-5-2-1, and he's training sharply for this appearance. Can take this with his "A" game.
2nd pick: #6 (Saturday Appeal) (3-1) - Gelding has really stepped it up in his last pair and comes off a solid second place finish here at this level and distance July 20. He's worked sharply since and is a strong win candidate this afternoon.
3rd pick: #4 (Goodtolook) (7-2) - The main speed, he exits the same July 20 contest as "Saturday Appeal," and he tired late to finish third, 1 1/2 lengths back of that rival. In shape and very dangerous if left alone in the first half- mile.
