Top pick: #5 (FIFTYFOURFOREVER) (7-2) - She showed some life here racing at this level on July 21st, the first time she's been competitive in her last five outings. Speed/stalker has back class and can take this with just a bit more improvement.
2nd pick: #7 (Notesfromabroad) (5-1) - Competitive sort tired last out at Belmont after she "reared up" at the break and had to rush up into the pace picture. Race was her first since Jan. 13 when she broke her maiden and this speed/stalker is a win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #2 (Polan) (4-1) - Lightly-raced and speedy, filly tired at Belmont at this level and distance on July 4th in her first start since Sept. 23. $120K daughter of "Sharp Humor" ran well here last year and gets blinkers on this afternoon.
4th pick: #4 (Bit Bustin) (5-2) - The probable favorite, she drops in class and goes turf to dirt after a wide and even effort here in a grass spint facing tougher on July 19th. Three-year-old home-bred runs in a career soft spot and is an obvious factor, but at a short price.
