Top pick: #6 (JOE VANN) - I believe that he's the main speed of this rather pace-less group on paper. Pletcher trained colt hasn't won since going wire-to-wire in the Illinois Derby (G3) back in April of 2011. He tired badly at Monmouth in late May and has been freshened-up since that time. Traing steadily and it's nice to see Johnny V. on this big drop down.
2nd pick: #1 (Dreaming Blue) - Lightly-raced gelding is working very fast for his first race in two months. Stalker drops in price, has the rail, and Dominguez gets aboard for the first time.
3rd pick: #3 (Tuvia's Force) - Lightly-raced 5-year-old son of "Mineshaft" has had his career broken up by many layoffs and has dropped down in price of late. He finished a solid second at Belmont June 17th racing for $15K and had a nice half-mile work here a week ago. His early speed should have him involved today from start to finish.
