Top pick: #10 (WINDAFUL) - Lightly-raced 3-year-old gelding rallied to miss by a neck at Belmont June 18 going shorter and home-bred had a very tough outside post that day. He has the best early speed of this pace-less group and trainer Dave Duggan will add blinkers for this attempt. The horse to beat.
nd pick: #12 (Atitlan) - He hay go favored here as 4-year-old by "Thunder Gulch" was beaten a nose last out at Belmont in his first start in 7 months. Home-bred is in the barn of Chad Brown and the Saratoga born trainer is having a great meet, (he won his first G1 on Saturday with Zagora).
rd pick: #8 (Knock Quietly) - Price play is a one-paced type who never tires so this 9 furlong trip won't be an issue. His running line is loaded with races that had some talent and this field is a bit weaker overall. Can factor at a big price.
th pick: #5 (Mightylover) - Son of the successful "Catienus" is lightly raced, improving, has solid early speed, and wasn't beaten much by the top two selections in here when they met. Three-year-old should be in this from stsrt to finish.
th pick: #4 (Fast Grievance) - He's had tough trips in his last pair facing $25K "open" claimers and moves back in with state-breds this afternoon. Capable of impacting at a nice price.
