Top pick: #4 (CIAO BELLA) - Undefeated grey filly has looked awesome in her first two appearances, breaking her maiden at Gulfstream Park last December and taking a allowance race at Monmouth in her return to action July 29th. Working well locally, she appears to have a bright future and this 9-furlong distance should not pose any problem.
2nd pick: #5 (Moment in Dixie) - Home-bred filly won her first two races at Belmont before finishing second in a small stakes at Monmouth July 15th, a contest where she had a great deal of trouble at the start and was forced to race very wide. Training fast locally and she looks like the main danger.
3rd pick: #1 (Peace Preserver) - She's in the same barn as (Bella) and the two fillies race uncoupled. In shape, she draws the rail and has enough positional speed to be involved most of the way. Dominguez, who was aboard when she broke her maiden last fall at Belmont is back aboard for the first time since then.
