Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (BELLEZA) (2-1) - Lightly raced 4yo daughter of 'Tiznow' drops a bit while shortening up a 1/2 furlong. She's finished a distant 2nd in two straight on the main track, the latest at Belmont going 6.5 furlongs while facing a bit tougher July 9. I give her a very slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Cross Keys) (5-2) - This grey filly tired late to check-in 4th when debuting at a mile against tougher July 2 at Belmont. She's dropping in class, cutting back a 1/2 mile, and Javier Castellano stays aboard. Don't be discouraged by trainer Tony Dutrow's stats, as he's semi-retired and at one time was a terror on the mid-Atlantic circuit.
3rd pick: #1 (Big Al's Gal) (5-1) - She had a less than perfect trip when beaten by 13.5 lengths debuting in a grass sprint at Belmont against better on July 3. Trainer Chris Englehart switches her to the dirt, drops her into a claimer, and Joel Rosario is aboard.
4th pick: #8 (Miss Ross) (15-1) - No speed type draws a tough post for her style, and I believe with some pace help she may pick off enough late to hit the bottom of the same race exotic wagers.
