Top pick: #7 (PRIVATE RULES) - Prepared at Monmouth for his debut, colt is in a good barn (Derek Ryan) and his works are excellent. Home-bred by "Peace Rules" attracts Eibar Coa and he and Ryan win at a 25% rate when teamed-up. The top pick, and at a square price.
2nd pick: #2 (Never Right Joey) - Probable favorite hails from the Pletcher barn and has a bit of a "home field advantage" as he's been training locally for the past two months. Barb always wins it's share of two-year-old race here and this colt is an obvious factor.
3rd pick: #4 (D'Sauvage) - Mountaineer shipper just missed in his debut and did so despite a horrible start. In a barn (Tom Amoss) that wins races wherever it goes and this colt is a win candidate today.
