Top pick: #5 (ASSET INFLATION) (3-1) - Lightly raced gelding by "Greeley's Galaxy" cost $100K, and has been brought along slowly by trainer Chad Brown. He's shown good early speed in both well-bet starts, and is racing off a two month break. Brown moves him to the grass, and this 3yo is training very fast for this attempt.
nd pick: #6 (Insighting) (5-2) - Unraced since late Nov., colt finished second when debuting at Belmont in a grass sprint Oct. 28, then had all sorts of traffic issues four weeks later while running "off the board." Top barn (Steve Asmussen) has him training steadily, and colt is a win candidate.
rd pick: #8 (Gentle Jim ) (6-1) - Speedy sort went 3-0-1-2 in grass sprints at the recently completed Belmont meeting, and should be involved in this turning for home. From that point on he needs to do a bit better.
th pick: #12 (Poppy's Watching) (10-1) - He draws a tough post, but enters off a career best when finishing third of nine, beaten just under a length racing at Belmont facing cheaper on June 26th. He clearly prefers the grass, and can factor if he can avoid a wide trip.
th pick: #2 (Acigarisjustacigar) (20-1) - Longshot raced evenly in his debut, then was never involved after breaking from a tough outside post in his latest. Breaks just off the rail, and could factor at a big price.
