Top pick: #5 (COAST OF SANGRIA) (5-2) - Hard-hitting veteran mare was a winner here going six-furlongs for a $25K tag on July 30. It was her 10th visit to the winner's circle in 31 starts, and she was claimed that day by mid-West based Larry Rivelli. He's worked her since, will drop her slightly off the purchase price, and send her an extra furlong.
2nd pick: #4 (Go Olivia Go) (3-1) - Another veteran, 4yo has an outstanding record on the dirt (31-6-6-5) and was an easy winner here facing a bit weaker Aug. 17. It was her best overall since late March and came in her second off a Bruce Levine claim. She likes it at the "Spa" (3-1-0-2) and is a serious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (E Z Passer) (7-2) - Speedy mare ships back from Suffolk Downs where she was a daylight winner in an entry-level allowance on Aug. 11. It was one of her best efforts ever and came fresh off a claim by Dave Cannizzo. She has the rail, has won here in the past, and small barn has won four of 16 at this meet.
4th pick: #2 (Ginny's Grey) (9-2) - Grey filly has plenty of back class, and will be dropping in class and cutting back in distance for this attempt. 4yo rallied to finish second here facing tougher going 1 1/8th miles on Aug. 18 in her first off a Bruce Brown claim and a subsequent seven-week freshening. The faster the pace, the better the chances for this stretch runner.
