2nd pick: #7 (Bird Prince) (4-1) - 3yo exits the same July 25 race as 'Stay Tuned,' and he finished a solid 3rd after being part of the pace picture. It was his first off a Dave Jacobson claim and first off a two month break. Son of 'Birdstone' is improving and is a major threat to the top pick.
3rd pick: #8 (Ogermeister) (6-1) - From the same barn (Dave Jacobson) as 'Bird Prince,' and the pair race uncoupled. He finished behind both "Stay Tuned' & 'Bird Prince' last out, but had 'trouble' at the start and was forced into a wide trip. Price play.
4th pick: #1 (Benny is a Jet) (12-1) - Monmouth shipper moves from turf to dirt following a rallying 2nd place finish there in a grass sprint July 26. In his only previous attempt on conventional dirt, he ran 3rd at Monmouth May 10. Stalker has the rail and may grab a minor award at a big price if the pace is fast and/or contested.
