Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (AMAZING AUDREY) (2-1) - The lightly-raced filly has been freshened up since a wide and even effort at Belmont Park facing tougher going a bit farther. Much sharper in three straight prior to that, trainer Todd Pletcher drops her into a claimer (a 29% winning move) and John Velazquez is back aboard following a one-race absence.
2nd pick: #9 (Appreciate) (12-1) - Well bred filly showed nothing at Belmont June 28 when she was badly beaten in a one-mile contest on a muddy surface that was taken 'off the turf. Daughter of 'Tiznow' was racing first off a John Toscano Jr claim and had finished within range in all four on the grass prior to her latest and has good early speed. A longshot possibility.
3rd pick: #6 (Secret Quality) (7-2) - She's finished second in both starts both on the grass at this $40,000 price tag. Three-year-old is racing first off a Mike Maker claim (13%) and it's noted that Jose Ortiz is aboard for this attempt. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Love to Share) (4-1) - Filly ships from Monmouth where she tired to finish far back in an 'of the turf' contest Aug. 3. Stretch runner had been competitive in four straight on the grass before that outing and is dropping to a new low for this assignment.
