Top pick: #7 (MADD EXCHANGE) (7-5) - The morning line favorite, his task was made much easier with the early morning scratches of both #5 "Ireland's Eye" and #8 "Hi Speed Chase". Pletcher trained colt just missed on July 6th at Monmouth going 6-furlongs in his first race since Feb. 1st. Barn drops him into a claimer for the first time, stretches him out a furlong, and has John Velazquez aboard. Much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Nicholson) (6-1) - He enters off an even effort when facing a bit tougher at Belmont on July 10th when racing at this distance. It was his first in two months and he has a shot at completing the exacta.
3rd pick: #6 (Eight Cents) (5-1) - Long time maiden was very wide here at this distance on a sloppy track July 28th. He tends to come up empty at crunch time, but is capable of getting a share of this with his best.
