Top pick: #8 (MINISHAFT) - Daughter of "Mineshaft" had some trouble in her latest and finished a close-up third to a filly who repeated here last Sunday ("Miss Catalyst"). She has a pair of fine local drills and this 1 1/8th mile distance should be to her benefit. The top pick.
2nd pick: #3 (Gold d'Oro) - Returns off a seven-week freshening for "Hall of Famer" Bill Mott. She has a pair of strong races showing at this nine furlong distance and filly draws the inside post. Very tough and I almost put her on top.
3rd pick: #5 (West Court) - All her turf races are solid, though she's finished behind the top pick twice. The margins werent that big and filly has good tactical speed to utilize. Looks set for her best.
4th pick: #9 (Cruisin'nthebridle) - Daughter of "Unbridled's Song" appears the type that can "run all Day long." She just failed with a strong late rall last out at Churchill and she'll get an extra furlong to work with today.
