Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (THIN DRESS) (5-1) - This filly drops in class, goes turf to dirt, and shortens up in distance. Competitive in two of six overall, she finished a distant 2nd in an 'off the turf' contest at Belmont going longer May 29. She gets a very slim edge in a difficult and wide open betting event.
nd pick: #14 (Desert Affair) (9-2) - One of two entered by trainer Gary Contessa, and the pair race uncoupled. Competitive in five straight starts, and all have come at this level. An obvious win candidate, but he has to avoid a wide trip from a tough post.
rd pick: #2 (Tapceptional) (8-1) - Very lightly raced, she has early speed, and drops back down to the tag of her best race. In her latest, she was bumped heavily at the start, and should be involved every step at a big price with a trouble free beginning.
th pick: #1 (Iwishirish) (7-2) - She only cost $1,500, but has been competitive in three straight while earning almost $10K. She has the rail, and Irad Ortiz, Jr. is back on the re-ride. This 3yo must avoid getting shuffled back from the rail in this 14-horse field.
th pick: #4 (Hansen's Help) (10-1) - She tired at Belmont racing at this level June 4. However, it was her first start since Nov. 13, and she was bet down to heavy favoritism. Look for an improved run in this spot.
