Top pick: #3 (GROUPTHINK) (2-1) - Colt by "Majestic Warrior" cost the people from the successful Klaravich Stables $220K and debuts this afternoon off of some fine local works. He's been stabled and in training here since late May and meets a weak looking field first out. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Sol the Freud) (5-1) - Small barn (Dave Cannizzo) has this colt working steadily for his debut, the latest a fine half-mile gate breeze on this surface July 26th. Note that "Johnny V" is aboard.
3rd pick: #2 (Tapidor) (5-2) - Son of "Tapit" cost $450K last fall as a yearling purchase and trainer Dale Romans initially prepared him at Churchill for his debut. The works suggest he has talent and colt has worked nicely here since shipping east.
4th pick: #6 (Momma's Mark) (8-1) - Owned and bred by Pat Generazio, grey colt has been in steady training since late May and worked a nice half-mile here from the gate on July 26th. Can factor, and he'll be a big price.
