Both were against 'open' company, and she's in with fellow New York-breds in her come-backer. Working very fast locally for her new trainer Kelly Breen, he's won with 18 of 70 (26%) with arrivals from other stables since Jan. 1 of 2019, and he has Irad Ortiz, Jr. signed on.
2nd pick: #9 (Bankers Beast) (6-1) - She raced evenly when debuting at Belmont going six furlongs on the grass July 3. Trainer Mike Stidham wins at a solid 24% rate (22 of 93) second time out in 2019-20, and he switches her to the dirt for this attempt.
3rd pick: #3 (Blichton Lady) (4-1) - She rallied from far back to finish 2nd at this level going 6.5 furlongs on a sloppy track at Belmont July 10. It was her first since debuting 13.5 months earlier, and the winner last out won her follow up attempt. A win candidate.
4th pick: #6 (Sweet Sneak) (5-1) - Unraced since the Fall, this $360K purchase has some solid works on view and is facing fellow state-breds for the first time. She's capable of factoring if she runs to her a.m. drills.
