Top pick: #4 (DISCREETLY MINE ) - He was absolutely awesome last out when winning the G2 "Amsterdam" here on August 2. Colt by "Mineshaft" always had ability and believe that he'll be kept at distances at a mile or less for the time being. Speed/stalker wins this with a repeat of his latest.
2nd pick: #2 (Hurricane Ike ) - Unseen since winning the "Derby Trial" in late April, he was clearly improving at that point and his two best races have come on conventional dirt. Training fast at Del Mar for his come-backer and he's the horse a win threat if ready.
3rd pick: #5 (Bulldogger) - Lightly raced and fast, he's undefeated on this surface (two-for-two) and comes into this a very fresh animal. Set up perfectly for this by trainer Bob Baffert and Martin Garcia makes the trip from Del mar for the ride. Dangerous runner.
