Top pick: #8 (DECLAN'S WARRIOR) (5-1) - He made up some ground here in the (G2) "Amsterdam" stakes going 6 furlongs on July 28th. The race was his first since he finished second in the "Woody Stephens"(G2) on Belmont stakes day, a contest that he should have won. Colt is working fast for this, he loves this trip (3-2-1-0), and colt should ge a fast and/or contested pace to rally into.
nd pick: #12 (Central Banker) (20-1) - Longshot was very sharp in winning a grass sprint here on July 25th in his first start since last November. That was a career best and he overcame a tough trip to win going away. In a great mid-size barn (Al Stall Jr.), and can fator at a big price.
rd pick: #10 (Let Em Shine) (6-1) - Clearly the main speed, he set a very quick pace and held gamely until the last 1/16th when beaten a length at this distance on June 8th at Belmont in the "Woody Stephens." Has a solid shot at taking this field from gate-to-wire.
th pick: #5 (Majestic Hussar) (10-1) - Another price play, he enters off a career best when defeating weaker here on Aug. 4 going 6 furlongs in 1:09.40. The race was his first since Feb. 23 and this colt appears to be at his peak for trainer Ed Kenneally.
th pick: #2 (Forty Tales) (3-1) - He defeated "Declan" here on July 28th in the "Amsterdam," but draws a tough post for this 7-furlong contest and he may have to pass them all with his late running style. In shape, is a contendr, but will be over-bet.
