Top pick: #6 (SAUVIGNON) (4-1) - Lightly raced and improving, filly rallied to finish 3rd of 10, beaten just over a length racing here at this level Aug. 14th. She lost some position when 'bumped' at the start and gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #10 (Congress Park) (7-2) - Filly was beaten a 'nose' here in the same last race as "Sauvignon.' By far a career best, it was her first back from a pair of layoffs. Speed/stalker retains Castellano and is an obvious win candidate.
rd pick: #5 (J'ray's Sunshine) (12-1) - Longshot raced evenly here when debuting in the same Aug. 14th race as the top two picks. Blinkers go on, and it's noted this well bred 3yo took some money first out.
th pick: #2 (Broken Border) (6-1) - She finished 2nd here July 29 at this level in her best start since March 11 at Gulfstream. Strong finisher is a factor if it's repeatable.
th pick: #1 (Sweet Advance) (5-1) - From the Pletcher barn, she's lightly raced and cost $300K. Has the rail, and she was competitive in her only previous grass race.
