Speed/stalker was competitive in both turf starts as a 2-year-old and is training nicely for her first race since late November. Daughter of 'War Front' has Castellano aboard and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #2 (Durable Goods) (2-1) - The second of the Chad Brown fillies, she rallied from far back to finish second when debuting going a mile at this level June 8 at Belmont Park. Training steadily since, Brown has won with 27-of-102 maidens (27%) second time out over the past 19 months.
3rd pick: #6 (Freedom. ) (9-2) - Another filly by 'War Front', she's missed by a 'neck' in both career starts going a mile on the grass. On the sidelines since late October, she's been in steady training here since June 15. In the barn of 'Hall of Fame' member Bill Mott, she's dangerous if ready.
4th pick: #4 (Fashion Week) (8-1) - Filly moves to the grass and is trying a two-turn distance both for the first time. She showed a bit of speed and improvement at Belmont July 3 and longshot may grab a minor award at a big price.
