Top pick: #5 (BINK'S FOREST) - Gelding by "Street Cry" just missed in his debut when he was beaten a neck at Tampa bay Downs in early March. He ran poorly in his 2nd start, which came at Belmont in a "switched" contest May 18. On the shelf since, trainer Bill Phipps drops him into a claimer for the first time and he's scratched this horse at Belmont recently as he shops for the right spot. Think this is it.
2nd pick: #1 (Last Out Of Panama) - Well-bred colt hasn't started since he rallied to finish 4th in his debut a year ago in a grass sprint at Colonial Downs for Virginia-breds. Working fast locally for trainer Todd Pletcher and I almost put this son of "More Than Ready" in the top spot.
3rd pick: #2 (Surf King) - Speedy Louisiana Downs shipper drops, has the inside post, and his new trainer (Eric Guillot) will add blinkers this afternoon. His speed makes him dangerous at a big price.
4th pick: #12 (Conway) - He has some talent and "Hall of Fame" trainer Wayne Lukas will drop him into a claimer for the first time. The post hurts, but he has some speed and should be in this from gate to wire.
