Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (MORE MISCHIEF) (5-2) - A lightly raced $350,000 daughter of 'Into Mischief', she rallied while wide to finish 3rd of 12, beaten just over a length here at this level going 6 furlongs July 27. It was her fourth straight solid effort and came following a two month freshening. From the barn of Chad Brown, she's stretching out a furlong and is making back-to-back starts for the first time since late last summer. 3yo will be very tough with a clean trip in this large field.
2nd pick: #2 (Sweet Meadow Mist) (7-2) - Competitive in three of four, she rallied from far back to finish fourth, only a 1/2 length behind 'More Mischief' going 6 furlongs here at this condition July 27. She won at this 7 furlong distance facing 'open' company in a starter-allowance ($50K level) May 25 at Belmont and is dangerous in this spot.
3rd pick: #6 (Take Me to Hardoon) (5-1) - She's been on the sidelines since Feb. 3 when she finished 3rd sprinting at Aqueduct. Filly is stakes placed and won her well bet debut here Sept. 2. Working fast for her return, trainer Jeremiah Englehart is having a strong meet and has won at a 21% rate off long layoffs in 2018-19. It's noted that Luis Saez is aboard.
4th pick: #7 (Moon Heist) (12-1) - Tough call as she was a gate-to-wire maiden winner going 6 furlongs at Belmont July 6. Only her second start, she scooted clear from the rail and was never in danger. This is a much sterner test.
5th pick: #9 (Trouble For Skylar) (6-1) - 4yo rallied while wide to finish a non-threatening third here going 5.5 furlongs at this level in an 'off the turf' contest July 12. No match for 'Sweet Meadow Mist' at Belmont May 25, unless she really steps it up, a minor award is her ceiling.
