Top pick: #3 (WHO'S Z DADDY) (5-1) - He's been sharp in all three starts since coming off a 19 1/2 month layoff in late May. 4yo finished a wide 3rd here at this level going 6-furlongs Aug 5. Owner/trainer Dave Jacobson stretches him out a furlong and stalker gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #6 (Aleander) (4-1) - Consistent sort rallied to finish 2nd here Aug 5 in his first since late April. He was a 1/2 length better than 'Who's Z Daddy' that day and is an obvious win candidate.
rd pick: #12 (Fear) (10-1) - Good barn (Michelle Nevin) has been 'ice cold' so far at this meet. Trainer has freshened this 3yo up since breaking his maiden at Belmont June 19. Improving sort is working steadily and draws a nice outside post at this trip.
th pick: #1 (Deficit Hawk) (3-1) - The morning line favorite, he's dropping in class and breaks from the rail. Un-raced since May 25, he's dropping to a new low and should be involved every step.
th pick: #5 (Pin and Win) (8-1) - Long shot may pass enough late to pick up a small slice at a big price.
