He wasn't beaten much in his New York debut when he ran 5th in a grass sprint at Belmont July 10 and runs today off a trainer switch to Chad Brown (24% with new arrivals). New barn has him working fast, will switch him to the dirt, and give him an extra furlong this afternoon. The top pick.
2nd pick: #9 (Bud White) - He really put it all together last out at Belmont breaking his maiden by almost 18 lengths going a mile. Effort was complimented when the distant 2nd place finisher won next out. Win candidate in this state-bred allowance.
3rd pick: #11 (Southbeachsandy) - He's finished 2nd in three straight tries at this level and will shorten up a bit for this attempt. Speed/stalker has a pair of nice local drills showing and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #14 (Decesion Point) - Goes turf to dirt after finishing 2nd at this level and distance on the Belmont lawn July 3. Lightly raced and in a winning barn (Mike Trombetta)deep closer will need to avoid a wide trip for anything more than a minor award.
