Given almost two months of rest, he was an easy winner here in the G1 Whitney Handicap at this distance Aug 6. He'll be tough to at this afternoon.
2nd pick: #4 (Bradester) (6-1) - The horse many haven't heard of, has won 10 of 24 starts - all on the dirt. Speedster has banked just under $1.2M and is undefeated in three starts this year. If someone doesn't make him work hard in the first half-mile, this 6-year-old has proven tough to get by during the stretch run.
3rd pick: #6 (Samraat) (10-1) - Another of the McLaughlin trio, he enters off a 'neck' loss to to the hard-hitting 'Effinex' in the G2 Suburban Handicap July 9 at Belmont. He earned a career best figure and should e competitive again today.
4th pick: #9 (Mubtaahij) (5-1) - The third of the McLaughlin runners, he's no slouch. Colt has won several rich races on the dirt and finshed second to 'California Chrome' earlier this year in the $10,000,000 Dubai World Cup (Group 1).
5th pick: #1 (Shaman Ghost) (15-1) - Longhsot has the rail, a speed/stalking style, and has lasix added. He won the $1,000,000 Queen's Plate in July of 2015 and is capable of getting a slice of this at a big price.
