Top pick: #8 (COUP DE GRACE) (2-1) - He's beginning to live up to the promise he showed earlier in his career. $300,000 son of "Tapit" was a convincing winner here in the Gs "Amsterdam" stakes going 6.5-furlongs July 26th. It earned him a career best figure and he's since come back with a pair of bullet works at Delaware Park. Colt draws a nice outside post at this trip and there's plenty of speed for him to rally into.
2nd pick: #7 (The Big Beast) (5-2) - Speaking of speed, this late developer has won two in a row in very easy fashion both in wire-to-wire style. Colt earned a big figure here winning a 6-furlong entry-level allowance on July 26th and has been working fast since. He gets a class test today, but I believe he's a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Wildcat Red) (4-1) - Very consistent colt has gone 10-5-3-1 overall and is 7-3-2-1 in 2014. Four-time stakes winner is shortening up in distance after chasing "Haskell" winner and today's "Travers" entrant Bayern while finishing 3rd to him that afternoon at Monmouth. He's one-for-one at this distance and that came in the G3 "Hutchinson" stakes at Gulfstream on Feb. 1. The final time was fast (1:22.20) and he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #4 (Noble Cornerstone) (15-1) - Longshot enters off a big win here facing fellow New York breds going 6.5-furlongs July 25th. He earned a top "fig" that day and this home bred is still getting better. May impact at a big price.
