Top pick: #5 (A LITTLE WARM) - Lightly raced, talented, and fresh after an injury kept him out of the "Triple Crown" races. Has a flexible style and comes into this off his best "speed" figure in his eight starts. Tough if he repeats it.
2nd pick: #2 (Afleet Express) - Rapidly improving at this point and colt has become a much better runner since coming back from a three month layoff in late May. Has developed fine tactical speed and is working sharply for this. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Aikemite) - Price play in the same race exotics ran very well here last season and has kept only the toughest company since then. Won last out at Belmont when he was given some class relief and is working sharply since. You get the Todd Pletcher barn at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Winslow Homer) - He's an uncoupled barn-mate of the top pick (both are trained by Tony Dutrow). Displayed some talent this past winter and runs second back off a five month layoff. Could impact at a nice price.
