Top pick: #3 (KENSEI) - Lightly raced and improving, he will try and carry his talent around two-turns for the first time. Working sharply on the local training track trainer Steve Asmussen has him on edge for this attempt. The top pick is only one of two with a win on this surface.
2nd pick: #5 (Charitable Man) - Talented son of "Lemon Drop Kid" has great position in the Belmont Stakes (G1), but couldn't sustain his bid in mid-stretch. Colt had a spectacular debut on this footing last August and has been training sharply up here for the past two weeks. No knocks from me. One of a pair from trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and they'll race uncoupled.
3rd pick: #1 (Saratoga Sinner) - Has some talent and both his caree wins have come at this tough nine-furlong trip. Training fast for his first start since winning the "Holy Bull" (G3) last January at Gulfstream, he's a player today at square odds.
