Top pick: #1 (UNBRIDLED FOREVER) (4-1) - Since tiring in her debut in late October at Churchill Downs this filly by "Unbridled's Song" has gone 6-2-1-3. She rallied to finish a distant second here to today's rival "Stopchargingmaria" in the CCA Oaks (G1) July 20th, and has a solid shot at reversing that decision at this afternoon's longer distance.
2nd pick: #8 (Stopchargingmaria) (2-1) - As mentioned above, she was an easy winner here on July 20th in the "CCA Oaks" (G1) that earned her a career best figure. She loves it at the Spa (3-2-1-0), continues to work nicely, and I could have easily made her the top pick. Only knock is her short price.
3rd pick: #5 (Got Lucky) (8-1) - Lightly-raced and improving, she's from the same barn (Todd Pletcher) as "Maria," but due to different owners they race uncoupled. Beautifully bred filly was a come-from-behind winner here over allowance foes going 1 1/8th miles on July 23rd. It was her first start since early May and she's been working well since. Daughter of "A.P. Indy" has a shot at a square price.
4th pick: #6 (Fortune Pearl) (12-1) - Much improved of late, she was only three back of "Maria" when finishing third in Pimlico's "Black Eyed Susan" stakes (G2) on May 16th. Home bred won the "Delaware Oaks" (G2) last out and this strong closer would love a fast and/or contested pace to develop.
