Only her second start, it was her first since early Sept. and first on the turf. 3yo can win this with a clean break and trip.
2nd pick: #1 (Unparalleled) (7-2) - Speed/stalker is racing third back from an 8.5 month layoff and is dropping into a claimer for the first time. She finished an even 4th facing tougher at Belmont June 29, and I love the fact Javier Castellano rides her right back.
3rd pick: #7 (Merlins Muse) (5-1) - This lightly raced filly has finished 4th in both starts at this level going six furlongs on the Belmont turf. She's had traffic issues in each and is a major player with a trouble-free trip.
4th pick: #9 (J C S Star) (12-1) - Speed/stalker runs with blinkers on and has the aggressive Kendrick Carmouche aboard for the first time. Home bred draws outside of the other pace types, and that's to her advantage. Longshot possibilities.
5th pick: #11 (Speed Khalessi) (20-1) - Longshot raced evenly last out after a troubled beginning. Speedy sort has blinkers on, a quick work July 24, and she may hold down a share today at a big price.
