She won here debut here back in "09" and also took her seasonal debut in 2010 off a 10 month layoff, so you know she can "fire fresh". Has the rail, a nice work at Belmont July 4, and a "clean" break may be all she needs.
2nd pick: #9 (Yawkey Way) - She's 2 for 2 on this surface, breaking her maiden when debuting here a year ago, and a month later she won the $70K Ann Clare S. in impressive fashion. Daughter of "Grand Slam" hasn't won in three starts since, but showed good speed last out before tiring. Looks set for a big effort.
3rd pick: #6 (Salty Little Sis) - As consistent as they come (5-2-3-0) and when last raced she was finishing 2nd on a sloppy track at Belmont July 7. Race was her first in 7 1/2 months and 4yo has a fast local drill 6 days ago. Win candidate, but she loses Dominguez to the top choice.
4th pick: #5 (Freud's Notebook) - Filly has been "knocking heads" with some tough "open" company of late and she's held her own. Drops, shortens-up in distance,and moves back in with fellow state-breds in this afternoon's finale.
