Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (VOLATILE) (8-5) - This lightly raced colt has won three in a row in very impressive fashion and enters his first 'Graded' stakes off an eight-length win in a $100,000 sprint stakes at Churchill Downs June 6. He stopped the clock in a track record 1:07.40 while earning a figure (112) that only a select few have reached over the past several years. An $850,000 yearling purchase back in Sept. of 2017, that sum may yet turn into a bargain if this son of 'Violence' continues his rapid rise in stature.
2nd pick: #2 (Whitmore) (2-1) - This 7yo hasn't slipped a bit over the past two years and has banked $3.1M the hard way (sprinting). Stalker won back to back stakes at Oaklawn earlier this year and has been working fast for his first start since April 18. In his only previous local attempt, he won the Forego Handicap (G1) going seven furlongs back in late August of 2018. With 'Volatile' the only confirmed front-runner enter, his task is very hard, but not impossible.
3rd pick: #3 (Firenze Fire) (4-1) - Talented stalker has won four of his last five, all in sprint stakes. The 5yo has gone 9-5-1 at this distance, has won here in the past, and finished 2nd here a year ago in the G1 Forego. In the mix.
