Top pick: #9 (TIDAL SLAM ) - Lightly raced she comes off an impressive maiden win which came at Belmont in her first ever on the turf. She's been freshened-up for the past 7 weeks and is nicely spotted by the McLaughlin barn in her first facing winners. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #10 (Angel Wave) - Another recent maiden winner and this stalker draws a nice post for her style with all the speed positioned in the gate to her left. She's a very rare individual who's actually improved since lasix stopped being administered. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #7 (Lady Valiant) - Consistent sort had little chance last out at this level after breaking from a poor post (11th of 11). Daughter of "Catienus" had run well in her previous four turf sprints and is a contender from off the pace with this better post.
4th pick: #4 (My Juanita ) - Very fast Finger Lakes shipper moves back to the turf for her first effort facing winners. Well-bred and formerly in the Pletcher barn she should be competitive against these.
