Top pick: #12 (KITTENS ANGEL) (9-2) - Strong finisher ran third here at this tag Aug 12. It was her first back off a pair of short layoffs and Ramsey home bred is making back-to-back starts for the first time since the spring. Her post is of no help, but I like her chances despite that fact. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #11 (Pointe Class) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Todd Pletcher and the pair race uncoupled. Monmouth shipper makes her NYRA debut after a trio solid efforts in New Jersey facing a bit tougher. Speed/stalker has Castellano aboard and is a very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Summer Chant) (6-1) - The second of the Pletcher pair, she has early speed and missed by a 'neck' at this tag and trip at Belmont July 3. Home bred had a very rough trip here July 31 and should be involved today from start-to-finish. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #4 (Break Away) (7-2) - Improving filly rallied to miss by a 'neck' racing here at this level July 31. Nice effort was her first after coming east from Indiana Downs. Stretch threat.
5th pick: #2 (Your Turn) (20-1) - Long shot is not a strong win candidate, but has some talent and draws a good post. Three-year-old by 'Flatter' may grab a minor award at a very big price.
