Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (GIANT BOO BOO) (3-1) - He finished second at this level and distance at Belmont June 24 in his second back following a 7-week break. Claimed that day by Jeremiah Englehart, he has him working steadily and he gets a big rider up-grade to Jose Ortiz. The trainer/rider combo wins at a solid 29% rate when teamed up.
2nd pick: #6 (American Ninja) (6-1) - Longshot is dropping down in class, switching from grass to dirt, and is shortening up in distance. He's racing second when following a Pat Reynolds claim and 'Big Brown's' original trainer is adding blinkers.
3rd pick: #12 (Wild Colonial Boy) (9-2) - Florida invader has started slowly in both starts at Gulfstream facing $16K 'open' claimers. He rallied to finish a distant second July 13 and he breezed a bullet half-mile here Aug. 1 presumably with the blinkers on that he wears today.
4th pick: #4 (Latin Love Bug) (10-1) - Home bred finished second of 10, beaten 4 lengths at this level July 15 at Belmont. One-run type is clearly improving and is a stretch threat.
