Top pick: #6 (ROMANS PARADISE) (5-1) - Price play has been freshened up since an even effort on the Belmont grass when facing tougher on June 17th. Gelding by "Hard Spun" drops to a new low, is working nicely, and trainer George races him without blinkers after a two race experiment. Gets a slight edge in a wide open finale.
nd pick: #9 (All My Trails) (3-1) - The probable favorite, he comes off a career best when finishing 6th of 12, beaten 9 1/2 lengths when facing much tougher special weights on June 21st at Belmont. In a capable small barn (Mike Dilger) and a win candidate.
rd pick: #3 (All Cash) (4-1) - "Hall of Fame" trainer Wayne Lukas sends out this speedy son of grass champ "English Channel". He's been competitive in four of his five grass starts and should be involved from start-to-finish.
th pick: #8 (Deimos) (12-1) - Lightly-raced, speedy, and improving, longshot ran well last out at Belmont at this tag and trip. I think he's a threat on the lead at a big price.
th pick: #5 (Seal Team Six) (8-1) - Colt by "Distorted Humor" raced evenly at this tag and trip at Belmont on July 11th in his first since debuting last Nov. Normal second-back improvement could see him getting a share of this at a big price.
