Top pick: #3 (SLIP AWAY) - Wonderful veteran has spent his entire career racing in "chases" and is a G1 winner during his 26 starts. Last year. 8-year-old just failed to win this important event when he tired slightly in the last 200 yards to finish 3rd beaten less then a length by today's rival No.2 "Divine Fortune". Grey gelding has the best early speed of this group and is set up by trainer Tom Voss for his best. The top pick, he's one of two entered by the trainer and they'll race as separate interests.
2nd pick: #1 (Decoy Daddy) - Irish import has plenty of talent and earlier this year won a pair graded "chases" in Virginia. Nine-year-old last raced May 11 and enters this training well and with blinkers added by former "jump" jockey Tom Foley. Major factor today.
3rd pick: #6 (Dynaski) - The second of the Voss runners has really taken to the sport since he was switched to chase racing back in '08. He's 8-4-4-0 since that time and just failed two years ago to win the important Lonesome Glory (G1) at Belmont in the fall of 2009. Has excellent "flat" speed and completes a strong pair from the pair.
