Top pick: #1 (PISCESBYMOONLIGHT) - Lightly raced but fragile home-bred son of "Empire Maker" has always been highly thought of by his connections and this afternoon will be making his 2nd start back off a 9 month layoff. Favored in his return race at Belmont July 5th, he "stumbled" badly at the start, raced very wide and finished evenly. He's worked twice since, draws the rail, and is bred to love this two-turn 9 furlong trip.
2nd pick: #5 (Live For Today) - He's finished 2nd in two of three starst since returning from a 3 month break in late March. Son of "Mineshaft" has a flexible style, is working fast, and has been competitive in both races on "off" tracks.
3rd pick: #2 (Zivo) - Another who is lightly raced and clearly getting better. He comes off a sharp maiden win at Belmont going a "flat" mile in fast time and is working fast since. With Javier Castellano at Monmouth for today's Haskell, Dominguez picks up the mount.
