Top pick: #5 (WANTAN) (7-2) - Argentine import has fared well over the jumps 13-2-6-4 and had a nice prep race on the turf at Delaware Park on July 12th. Stalker has run well here in the past and can take this with his best.
2nd pick: #7 (Selection Sunday) (4-1) - One of two entered by veteran Jack Fisher and the pair race uncoupled. Gelding had a fine career racing on the turf and has been sharp in both starts since being converted to the jumps. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Syros) (8-1) - The other from the Fisher barn, he has excellent early speed, good stamina, and won his prep for this on the Belmont turf on June 15th. Gelding by "Dynaformer" should be involved from start-to-finish.
4th pick: #10 (Albany Road) (15-1) - Veteran is racing back into shape, following several layoffs and comes off an even third place finish over the jumps at Philadelphia Park on July 1st. He's from the same barn (Ricky Hendricks) as "Wantan" and can factor with his best.
