Top pick: #1 (BRILLIANT FUTURE) - Filly has an excellent race over the track and it came off almost a four month and a positive trainer switch to Joan Scott. Three-year-old was involved from start to finish and ran second despite some traffic difficulties. Draws the rail, has the best early speed, and Dominguez gets aboard. The top pick.
2nd pick: #3 (Dreamingly) - Lightly raced and expensive ($600,000) daughter of "Giant's Causeway" finished third at Belmont at this level and distance July 4 and did so despite some bad steps. Working fine locally, and that includes a bullet 5-furlong breeze 12 days ago. Major force in here.
3rd pick: #10 (Lily the Pink) - Races first off a major positive trainer change to Bill Mott and this daughter of "Rahy" comes here from Kentucky where she was competitive in both starts at Churchill. The post hurts a bit and she'll need to avoid a wide trip for any chance at the win.
4th pick: #6 (Fire Assay) - $130K filly by "Medaglia d'Oro" is in a barn (Jim Toner) that specializes in grass runners and that's where he'll race this filly for the first time. Three-year-old has shown good speed in both her starts and stretches-out this afternoon. Dangerous foe.
