Top pick: #6 (TOO DISCREET) (2-1) - Grey colt has some very impressive works showing for his debut. Home bed by 'Discreet Cat' was initially in training here before switching to Belmont in early July. If he runs to his works, the rest are going to be battling for the place spot.
2nd pick: #1 (Heated Verdict) (4-1) - He has the rail, and colt sold for $130K this past March as a 2yo in training at Ocala. Trainer George Weaver always points towards this meet and has gone 15-2-5-2 so far at this highly contentious 40-day session. This son of 'Court Vision' should be competitive first out.
3rd pick: #9 (Call the Lord) (6-1) - Home bred didn't show much in his debut when he raced both evenly & wide going 6-furlongs on the Belmont turf July 19. He's worked twice since, and it's a plus that John Velazquez is back on the re-ride for a 17% second out barn (Dave Donk).
