Top pick: #7 (LAGUNA GIRL) (5-2) - Filly just failed last out at Belmont in her second off a 7 1/2 month layoff. Daughter of "Henny Hughes" is working fast and draws a nice outside post in this small field.
2nd pick: #3 (Mahna) (3-1) - She moveas back to the dirt after a troubled and wide trip here in a grass sprint July 29th. Well-bred and she had finished second in her previous pair on the Churchill dirt.
3rd pick: #6 (Fevered Kiss) (4-1) - Lightly-raced and well-bred, she's shown good early speed in both outings and will be going turf-to-dirt for the Mott barn. A very quick 5-furlong breeze Aug. 11 indicates a better effort is coming.
4th pick: #1 (Delany Road) (5-1) - Debuting daughter of "More Than Ready" cost $340K and has been in steady training here since early June. In the Clement barn (20% first out), and is a threat if ready.
