(# 2) PUFFBALL - Not a lot of speed on view in this maiden claimer around two turns. Puffball, improved quite a bit in her second start off of a layoff. Ran a number last fall on the turf which may be enough to win this race. Has enough gas in the tank to get good position into the first turn. The thinking here is that the Sherman runner on the rail will get the lead putting Puffball, into second and in a fine stalking trip. The rail-runner is scary and if she gets a lone lead could be tough to catch. Puffball, has a nice series of works since that second start back and think she'll move forward today.

(# 1) GINNY WINNER - Filly has been well-supported at the windows and drops into a claimer for the initial time. When last seen at Golden Gate, she was chasing some pretty swift fractions, and attracted Mr. Baze in her first three attempts, so there is talent here.

(# 4) SILVER AGAIN - Don't think filly has much room for improvement. She was set up well by Cerin for last try and just did not perform very well. Had the golden rail, race was slowly run and should have made a better race of it.
