This English import rallied to win the one mile Pasadena Stakes here Feb. 29. This strong finisher is working steadily and should like today's nine-furlong distance. He gets top billing.
2nd pick: #1 (Heywood's Beach) (6-1) - Improving colt moves way up in class after breaking his maiden here going a mile May 16. He had missed by a 'neck' in his previous start at this nine-furlong trip March 8. He has a flexible style, a ground-saving post, and Flavien Prat is aboard for the first time.
3rd pick: #3 (K P All Systems Go) (5-2) - The second of the Mullins trained pair, he's the type that can 'run all day' and is the only horse entered with a win at this distance. He broke his maiden at it by six lengths Jan. 25, and the final time was a fast 1:47.80. He must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #6 (Liar Liar) (5-1) - Irish import was a 1/2-length behind 'K.P. All Systems Go' March 20 and was 6.5 in back of 'Hariboux' Feb. 29. He's capable of getting a share, but he needs to do better.
