Top pick: #1 (TURN ON THE BRITES) - The probable favorite, lightly-raced gelding finished a pace-chasing second here racing at this tag and trip Oct. 12. Effort came off a seven week freshening, was his first on the dirt, and trainer Matt Chew has him making back to back starts for the first time. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #10 (Patriotic Lion) - He returns this afternoon for his first race since June 8th and this son of "Lion Heart" has done his best work on this surface (8-0-3-2). 3-year-old has a pair of nice works showing and is a win candidate in this spot.
3rd pick: #9 (Shoeshine Johnny) - Gelding had a tough trip when debuting at Fairplex on Sept. 20. He took some betting action that day and has since come back with a big bullet local half-mile drill just six days ago. In the mix and at a nice price.
4th pick: #8 (Debits and Credits) - Un-raced in exactly a year, he tired badly in his only start but is working fast on this strip for his return. It's of some note that Talamo is aboard and may indicate that the barn likes this 3-year-old's chances.
