2nd pick: #9 (Ladie's Man) (8-1) - Speedy sort is dropping in class after tiring here facing tougher Feb 14. It was his first since Nov 20 and he should improve off of it. Can factor from start-to-finish at a big price.
3rd pick: #6 (Book Thirty Four) (7-2) - Stretch runner rallied to finish second here at this level Feb 4. It was his first at this low a tag and came in his third back from a four month layoff. The faster the pace, the better his chances.
4th pick: #2 (Vartan) (9-2) - Four-year-old has some speed and is racing first off a Bill Spawr claim and a subsequent two month freshening. Working steadily and the rail is his for the taking. Can be a big factor with his best.
5th pick: #10 (Upbeat Tempo) (12-1) - Longshot faces winners following a gate-to-wire maiden win here going a mile for a $20K tag Jan 29. He has a stalking gear and most likely will need it from his outside post.
