Top pick: #5 (ANNISQUAM) (7-2) - Speedy filly is dropping in class and racing with blinkers off. She set a fast pace before tiring late facing special weights May 23 and can break her maiden on the drop into claimers.
2nd pick: #8 (Hi Fever) (4-1) - Debuting filly is working very fast for her first public appearance. Initially prepared at Los Alamitos, trainer Mark Glatt moved her here in late April. A win candidate if she runs to her a.m. drills.
3rd pick: #4 (Designated Royalty) (10-1) - Another making her debut, she's been in steady training here since mid-March. Veteran Bruce Headley is capable first out, and he has his 'go to' rider, Edwin Maldonato, aboard.
4th pick: #3 (Claudita) (12-1) - Bet in her debut here April 17, filly tired after chasing the pace while very wide. She has a new trainer and is working fast, presumably in the blinkers she puts on for this attempt.
