Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (Nodiac) (5-2) - Irish import has been freshened up since finishing 2nd going a mile at this level on the Del Mar turf. It was her first since she debuted in late July at Galway Park in her native country. Working well since, trainer Phil D'Amato cuts her back in distance. She gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Celestial Smile) (5-1) - Daughter of 'Tiznow' sold for $1,100,000 back in Sept. of 2014. She debuts off a series of steady works for trainer Graham Motion. Filly catches an overall sub-par group for the level and should factor first out.
3rd pick: #7 (Lady Valeur) (3-1) - Another Irish import, she rallied to finish 2nd of 10 when debuting going seven furlongs in her homeland Sept. 28th. Working above average, and her new trainer (Patty Gallagher) adds Lasix.
4th pick: #9 (Albeit) (8-1) - She finished a pace-setting 2nd going a mile on this course Oct. 17th. It was her only grass race to date and by far her career best. Freshened up since Nov. 19th, she's training nicely, and Doug O'Neill shortens her up in distance.
