Top pick: #5 (THE CUSTODIAN) (5-2) - Reddam home bred has been racing evenly in most all of his starts. He finished third here going shorter just 10 days ago and this colt has been competitive facing better fields in the past. He gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Easy Ten) (6-1) - He's raced evenly in both starts. One was from an outside post in a two-turn grass race and in the other he broke slowly from the rail at the same distance on the dirt. Trainer Bob Diodoro adds blinkers and he's won with 10 of his last 22 (45) when adding the "hood."
3rd pick: #10 (Itsgettinhotinhere) (5-2) - The probable favorite, he rallied to just miss here at this level and distance on the grass on Oct. 5. He followed that up with a disappointing effort at Del Mar but he was fanned 7-wide in the last three furlongs. Win candidate from off the pace.
4th pick: #1 (Badasmywifeletsmeb) (6-1) - He has the best early speed of this field and is breaking from the rail. Home bred stretches back out and he was only a 1/2 length back of "Custodian" in that Jan. 8 contest. He should be involved from start-to-finish at a square price.
