Top pick: #13 (HAVA CIGAR) - Improving son of "Lion Heart" was involved in a pace-duel last out at Hollywood and tired in the last furlong to finish 6th of 12, beaten just 2 lengths. Race was his first off a Doug O'Neill claim and it's nice to see this colt stringing starts together. Draws a nice outside post at this trip and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #14 (Rass Stone) - He took a bit of money in his debut and tired after chasing the pace. This is his home track and gelding has a nice series of works showing on it. Trainer Mike Puype wins at a 36% rtae second time out and this 3-year-old should be a big price.
3rd pick: #3 (War Wizard) - Has some speed, is improving, and trainer Frank Lucarelli wins alot of races every year. Think this gelding will be involved from start to finish at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (On a Burner) - Gelding by "Silver Train" improved his position in the stretch when debuting at Hollywood three weeks ago. Blinkers go on today, and this 3-year-old has a bullet work at Hollywood eight days ago, presumably with the "hood" on. Dangerous at a big price.
